Questions to prepare

• What are the room dimensions and ceiling height? Include adjoining spaces that stay open.
• Which windows receive direct sunlight, and at what time? Photos help show glazing, shade and insulation.
• How many people use the room, what equipment gives off heat, and when is cooling needed?

Daikin: choosing the right AC size

An inverter varies compressor speed as cooling demand changes. A fixed-speed system cycles the compressor on and off. This is a difference in operation, not a guaranteed saving on your electricity bill.

Describe your operating hours and budget before comparing specific models. Compare similar capacities and include purchase price, rated efficiency and the installation scope in your decision.

• Will the room be cooled for long periods or only occasionally? What temperature and usage pattern do you expect?
• Which exact models are being compared, and what are their capacity, efficiency and price?

Daikin: inverter operation

The EGAT energy label identifies the model, cooling capacity, SEER and estimated annual electricity cost. Compare models with similar capacities. The annual cost is an estimate; your usage and conditions affect the actual bill.

Questions to prepare

• Does the label match the model in the quotation, including its indoor and outdoor unit combination?
• Are the units being compared at a similar capacity, and what assumptions sit behind the estimated annual cost?

Photograph proposed indoor and outdoor positions, access, pipe routes and drainage. For several rooms or a VRV/VRF project, include a floor plan and the operating hours of each area. These details help define an air con installation enquiry; they do not replace a final site assessment.
